Therapeutic Approach
Mindfulness and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills can be especially helpful for calming the nervous system, improving emotional regulation, and managing symptoms of anxiety and emotional overwhelm.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps us become more aware of unhealthy patterns of thinking and cognitive distortions so that we can begin responding to ourselves and others in healthier, more balanced ways rather than reacting from old patterns or emotional triggers.
I also incorporate Solution-Focused Therapy, which helps identify practical steps toward creating positive change in the present moment so you can begin living your life more fully, right here and now.
I strongly value the Mind-Body Connection and believe it is important to understand how stress, emotions, and thought patterns can affect the body through tension, headaches, stomach discomfort, fatigue, and other physical symptoms. Our emotional and physical well-being is deeply interconnected.
Inner Child Work is another meaningful part of the healing process, helping you reconnect with your authentic self through compassion, self-awareness, and self-acceptance. It allows you to learn how to support and nurture yourself in healthy ways while becoming the adult you want to be.
I believe therapy is not one-size-fits-all, so I draw from these different approaches in ways that I feel will best support your individual healing, growth, and overall well-being.
