Adult ADD/ADHD

Living with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder can sometimes feel frustrating or overwhelming — especially when you are constantly trying to function in ways that may not naturally fit how your brain works. Many adults with ADD/ADHD find themselves struggling with focus, organization, time management, impulsivity, and emotional regulation, often without even realizing that these challenges are connected to how their brain is uniquely wired.

For many adults, ADD/ADHD goes undiagnosed well into adulthood. You may have spent years feeling like something was "off" — struggling to stay on task, feeling easily overwhelmed, having difficulty following through on goals, or finding it hard to manage your emotions in relationships and at work. You may have been told you were lazy, scattered, or not living up to your potential. None of that is true — your brain simply works differently, and that is okay.

Creative concept of attention deficit hyperactivity syndrome

Are you experiencing any of the following?

  • Difficulty staying focused or easily distracted
  • Trouble with organization and time management
  • Forgetting important tasks, appointments, or deadlines
  • Impulsive decision-making or difficulty thinking before acting
  • Emotional dysregulation — mood swings, frustration, or feeling overwhelmed quickly
  • Low self-esteem or chronic self-criticism
  • Difficulty completing projects or following through on goals
  • Struggles in relationships due to inattention or impulsivity
  • Feeling restless, overstimulated, or unable to slow down
  • A pattern of underachieving despite intelligence and capability

If any of these resonate with you, you are not alone — and there is support available.

A Compassionate, Personalized Approach

I believe it is important to approach ADD/ADHD with self-compassion rather than self-criticism. My goal is to help you better understand yourself — the unique ways your mind processes information, manages emotions, and experiences daily life — so that you can begin working with your brain rather than against it.

Using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-based techniques, we will work together to explore practical skills and tools to help you better manage the challenges that come with ADD/ADHD. CBT helps identify and shift the negative thought patterns and behavioral cycles that can keep you feeling stuck, while Mindfulness helps you slow down, increase self-awareness, and respond to situations with greater intention and calm.

Together, we will also work on recognizing and embracing the many strengths that often come with ADD/ADHD — including creativity, energy, intuition, out-of-the-box thinking, and a unique ability to hyperfocus on the things that truly matter to you. These are gifts, and with the right tools and support, they can be channeled into building a life that feels more balanced, fulfilling, and authentically yours.

You Do Not Have to Figure This Out Alone

Whether you are newly diagnosed or have been navigating ADD/ADHD for years, therapy can provide a supportive, non-judgmental space to better understand yourself and develop strategies that actually work for your life. I look forward to working with you and helping you create the life you deserve.
